Salary on Reference Letter

Just wondering if the work reference letter should mention my salary without deductions of taxes etc or after deductions? Also, must salary per year be mentioned or can a monthly salary also go fine? Kindly suggest. Thanks.

One of mine was before deduction and hour rate. The other one was annual rate before deduction as well.
