Hello folks,

I had applied for my study permit on 16th May and was updated with a correspondence letter in the online account which I had linked after submitting my paper application. The file was processed at Bangalore Visa Office.

Reasons for refusal:
1st attempt: Purpose of study (Chandigarh)
2nd attempt: Other reasons (Bangalore)

The status update also showed that I do not meet their eligibility requirements, along with the refusal letter.

Course and college: Energy Management (1 year Graduate Diploma) at Algonquin College, Ottawa. Course includes a work component.

My profile:
10th - 92% (CBSE)(2009)
12th - 77% (CBSE)(2011)

B.E. in Mechanical from University of Pune
54.3% (9 Backlogs) (August 2011 - Nov 2015; took 4.5 years)(Graduated Jan 2016)

IELTS: 8.5 Overall (L: 9.0 ; R: 8.5 ; S: 8.0; W: 7.5)

I have applied for CAIPS. I hadn't applied for CAIPS the first time unfortunately, which I believe, must have costed me dear the second time.

Employment: Self employed since Oct 2016 in family business.

GIC obtained for CAD 10,400
1st semester fees of CAD 7,500 paid.
Applied for college residence, paid the deposit fee and got approved for a room on campus.
Medicals done and passed during both attempts.

I'm posting this for reference for others and also with the hope that someone could help me regarding what corrections to make before applying again, or whether to apply or not.

I will post the CAIPS soon.

Yes bro. Even I feel that I was rejected due to low acads. You're right, I am planning to mention it in my letter if I apply again. Sorry to hear about your rejection. So, are you planning to re-apply?
