@sebishh Try this on your next attempt:

App # and family name
DO NOT put in anything on City and conutry of birth. NOT even a space
Fill out Passport info
Fill out intended place to live when you get to Canada (this should be the same info you have on your app)
# of applicants = sponsor + PA + dependents (kids; accompanying or non-accompanying) example: I put 3 = me, hubby + 1 kid

Based on the info in the spreadsheet they've JUST started working on June 15 applicants this week. Bear in mind that today is only the second workday of the week. I would understand your frustration if you had been waiting for a month and a half or more. Hi there - my PA received his AOR (yay!). I have not heard a peep yet, but I will sit tight for now since I hear there can be a delay.

We successfully linked his application online and he got a request to submit an FBI background check, but checking the FBI website it says it’ll take 10-12 weeks. But we see the deadline to submit the document is August 23 (5 weeks from now), so what can we do? Tried calling the CIC helpline but they have a huge wait and aren't taking any more calls.

A local service (not law enforcement) said they can do an expedited FBI background check for $200 or so, but I wanted to know if that’s safe or legit to do. Thoughts?

No dont do medical upfront. Only upon getting the request from CIC. I believe you have to take something that CIC sends you when you go see the doctor to do your medical. The doctor also has to be CIC approved.

@gagancanadavisa .. jptskt is right .. you get a document from CIC in GCKEY that you have to print and take with you .. along with other documents they require you to take .. it's all listed in that letter they will send you in GCKEY .. hang in there buddy!!

somebody messed up the document .. REALLY! the owner even asked everyone not to touch it except to input your own details .. i dont see myself, along with all the others whose files got transferred!! ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
