LMIA Expired

Hello ALL,

I have a closed work permit from my employer, which i got through LMIA. My LMIA expired on July11 2017. I got ETA 20 days back.

As the LMIA is expired now, will i still hold the 50 points? Can i get 50 points with the closed work permit??

Is my application void?? Please help.

No. you will lose your 50 points .....it should be valid until you submit your application

As long as the work permit issued based on the LMIA is valid you will get your 50 points.No worry you are good to go.

If your closed work permit, which is based on your LMIA, is still valid, then you are good. When will your work permit expires?

Yes it is. It is a closed work permit based on my LMIA

Then you are ok. If you check the CIC' website it clearly shows your case, so you do not have to worry. Upload your work permit also with your job offer in the offer of employment section.

One more question. What exactly does offer of employment mean? what should i upload in that section??
Also there is one letter of employment. whats the difference?
