Hey Everyone,
I was hoping somebody on here can help provide some guidance for a relative of mine. My cousin had applied for a visitor visa much prior to applying for express entry. He even visited Canada a couple of times on this visitor visa, after which he applied for PR through Express Entry. His confirmation of PR came through and his passport has the new visa indicating this. Although he never did his landing as he decided against settling in Canada and the expiration date on his CO-PR has even passed.
Keeping this in mind, is his visitor visa still considered valid ? As it has a validity of 5 years, so he was wondering if he could still use it to visit Canada considering he never acted on the permanent residency. According to him on his visit visa in his passport, it doesn't mention that it's cancelled but he was wondering if he still needs to apply for a new visit visa if he wants to visit Canada.
Appreciate any insight on this, thanks.
