Pre-Assessed..
Hello, my mother-in-law came yesterday on a visitor visa. At Toronto Pearson Airport CBSA officer did not stamp on her passport, I fould out today after looking at her passport. My question is "Is this usual?" How long she can stay? Do I need to contact CBSA, if so what number to call? as they may have mistakenly forgot to stamp and write duration of stay. As you know she was on a wheelchair and have multiple entry visa for three years. Please advise. Thanks.

Six months.

Hi thanks. My question is why nothing mentioned on her passport. Is this normal for a CBSA officer? I remember friend of mine mother got stamped with six month duration. Thanks.

You have understand that on visit visa , u can only stay for six months don't let her stay more then six months

Sometimes CBSA only stamp if they want to specifically restrict to a fixed period less than 6 months, if they leave blank then they are in effect trusting someone to only stay the max 6 months as a visitor. It is not a consistent process given sometimes they might even stamp with 6 months depending on the person in front of them at the time. The only real consistent thing is not to overstay the 6 months.
