Husband got a letter today saying he has 30 days to get medical done, that he ignored two previous requests. We got no such requests!

The letter came to our current address, but address on medical itself is an old address. Odd?

I crossed out old address and wrote in new one. That should be ok? I don't need to ask for a new one? I tried calling, couldn't get anyone live on the phone. So frustrating. Trying not to go into panic mode.

Hi there,

You should check if in the instructions and papers you have tio bring to the doctor, they already wrote your old address, in this case you would need new papers maybe. But If your old address is only in the request letter, then it doesn´t matter for the Medical, because they will ask you for your ID and write down your current address at the doctor´s office. Just go and have it done. But very important, in the meantime, write a letter to CIC to tell them about your new address and explaining what happened.

check the following link and verify if your address is correct.

You have the option to update the address there.

Yea you should get it done asap. They will write your new address and then write or email cic telling them what happened. You should be able to update your address online as well.

When did you apply for PR?

May 2015.

He had the medical done. BP was kinda of high and above the 140/90 which according to the doctor is not acceptable and CIC will want it tested again until it is below 140/90. I assume this means a delay.

Has anyone been rejected for high BP?

To the best of my knowledge people are not denied for this condition in spousal applications
