Hi
I am Bangladeshi but I live in UAE. My husband stays in Canada and we have recently applied for spousal visa for my PR from Canada but we still didnt receive any file number. Now I want to visit my husband in Canada and want to apply for visitor visa.
So I want to know what are the documents required so that my application gets accepted. What is the minimum financial amount we need to show, is it better to apply online or by paper, and what extra docs I need to show to convince them.
Thank you

Hi,

It's difficult to get a TRV if you have a PR app in progress, but has been done in some cases.

You'll need to post more information about your personal and professional situation:
Are you employed/business? Own property/land or have a rent contract? Good financial situation without borrowing from anyone? Any previous travel history?

You'll need to prove your ties to both Bangladesh and UAE

Cheers

from UAE, you need to show NOC, salary letter, bank statements for 6 months. There is no minimum amount, but it should be enough to support your stay in canada.
if you have property in UAE or Bangladesh would be useful.
you have to apply via VFS only, as far as i remember office is in Abu Dhabi only , not Dubai (i could be wrong)

Thank u for ur reply.
I am currently employed and will be taking a leave in august for 1 month so that I can visit Canada where I will be getting 2 weeks paid and 2 weeks unpaid salary. So will that be enough to show that I will be going back? I was born in UAE so is it still important to show ties with bangladesh? The house I stay currently in UAE is rented but under my Dads name and all the property in BD is also under my Dads name so basically I have no property. Can you suggest me what strong ties can I show with UAE other than my employment? I have previous travel history which is Bangladesh and India. What is NOC?
What else can I show to make my case strong?
As my file number didnt generate yet so will they know that I have applied for my PR? What do I need to include in the cover letter?

nope, the leave thing is not strong enough proof.
not important to show ties for bangladesh only, but you need to show ties to bangladesh or UAE - atleast one of them.
if you have no property, usually its not a big deal... but in your case could be difficult to get visa .
other strong ties would be a nice bank balance lol, or even if you have been working in same company for a number of years, or if you have kids or husband you are leaving behind...
NOC - no objection certificate or letter

file number would have generated if you applied for PR, you probably dont have it but they do probably.
cover letter should include an explanation of what supporting documents you are providing. and also show intent that you are planning to come back.

honestly personally speaking i think your case is a little weak and there are good chances of rejection... however there is no hard in trying :)

good luck

Thank you. No actually after applying for my PR I still didnt receive any update regarding the requirement for medicals and it has already been 1 month already. I currently have 16000 AED in my bank account and my husband will be showing his one as well. I want some help in showing more information that can make my case strong.
