Canada permit for new born

Hi,
I am on h1b in USA and my company is doing work permit for me and my wife for Canda.
I have a complex situation we are expecting and due date is on September 2017, so if my work permit got approved and our baby is born is USA after work permit got approved.

What all are my option to get visa for our new born to move to Canada. How much time it will take to a dependent visa if my work permit already got approved.

1. The baby will be a US citizen, doesn't require a visa for Canada, just a US passport. On entry, you just ask for a visitor record for the same length of time as you work permit.
