Hi all, Got this message in my CIC account for valid passport of mine and my Spouse. We had already submitted this while submitting final application. Any idea what exactly they are asking. A fast response would be very helpful:
"We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:
 11315645830 - Shilpi Verma:
 Passport/Travel Document: Please provide a scanned copy of an updated valid passport or travel document.
 This must be received at this office by: 2017/07/17

 1156551532 - Gaurav Rampal:
 Passport/Travel Document: Please provide a scanned copy of an updated valid passport or travel document.
 This must be received at this office by: 2017/07/17

Please note that the requested information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account. "

Shilpi, I think they are asking for Updated passport which probably means a renewed one. You may want to confirm that from someone. My idea is that if they send you a PPR after 1 month then it might not be valid for 6 months from there. My passport is going to expire on Late Dec this year and I am applying for an urgent passport too. But these are just my thoughts, you should confirm this from cic if possible.

My idea is that if they send you a PPR after 1 month then it might not be valid for 6 months from there. My passport is going to expire on Late Dec this year and I am applying for an urgent passport too. But these are just my thoughts, you should confirm this from cic if possible.

The point here is that my passport expires on 17 Jan 2018, although my husband's is valid for next 9 years. now I want to make sure, that they want my present passport and not a renewed , since it takes atleast one week.

ok .. At what stage has your application reached? IP 1 or IP2?

Hi Everyone,
I have been a follower on the Canadavisa forum, I just got my PPR letter today, and I was requested to send my passport within 15days, however I just put my passport in for South Africa visa request today, This normally takes 3 weeks which is way beyond the 15days ultimatum I was given.
I want to call or send a mail to cic in order to find out if the timeline is extensible .
Anyone with an email or phone number I can call will be very helpful. Kindly treat as urgent, your help is much appreciated

This is weird,usually they give 30 days to give in your passport as far as i know

Medical passed - May 31st, 2017
No update on my profile since then. Should i be worried?

here is what my status says :

Application status : are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Review of eligibility : we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements

Review of medical : results You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents : The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.

Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision Your application is in progress : We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I also have same stats just AOR is 27 April and Medical passed is 18 May
