Its only for US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders).

I don't know who is feeding you these misconceptions wrt the FBI PCC. You are an American, from what I understand. Thing is: you are privileged class wrt CIC Please go ahead with your live scan from any of the FBI listed channelers and you will most certainly have the report within 3-5 days. Now your spouse is not so lucky. He/She has to start the FBI report soon so as to not delay your application submission.

Your report is valid for one year. Look at the latest rounds of ITA invites. It went as low as 415 sometime this year. So I think you getting an ITA should be the least of your worries. The sooner you get your other stuff taken care of (Like Employer letters, personal copies of letters etc), the better.

Correction: For country of current residence, PCC is valid for 6 months only.

No need for passport and visas. You are required to send application form, credit card form and fingerprints. It is recommended to send multiple sets of fingerprints to avoid illegibility problems.

I am assuming you meant 7th of July. 20th April package was processed 2 weeks back what there are doing with it till now!?

Yes USPS inside US may take 7-10 days at max. Generally with in 5 days it gets delivered.

Well, Last we heard was FBI was clearing April 24th packages.. no update after that.
Anyone whose packages for delivered on April 25th, 26th and got charged on their CC?

I did send mine on 26th April (Canada Post - Express Over Night). But, the delivery status is 1-May-2017. No trace of any charges yet.

I see.... Well they yours must be in queue.. at the start of this week they were opening April 24th packages.

They go by the date they received the packet and not the day it was shipped.

Yes. That's what I meant. Opening packages which got delivered on April 24th.

Just got reply from FBI... They are still processing packages which got delivered on April 24th,

So I am hoping mine (April 26th) will be processed next week by end hopefully.

Agreed. thy are mailing out packages thy received on 24th. USPS said mine got delivered on 24th but FBI says 25th. So probably will get mailed out by Monday-Wed next week.

Do they send out any communication once they open package or Once fingerprints are processed successfully or when they mail out the report. Is there a communication at all?

No. You will get the mail that's it.
But if you send email they will reply you on 24 hours. They can provide status only on those which are being processed.

Hi Friends, Can you give me options if the FBI PCC doesn't come on time. I am keeping fingers crossed but wanted to keep me informed about the other options.
ITA Received - 20th April 2017.
ITA Expiry - 19th July 2017 ( ITA expires after 90 days )
FBI PCC Received by FBI on - 26th April 2017.
Current Processing - 24th April 2017.

If all goes well I should get it on or before 19th July.

Let me know if there is any delay what are the potential options. Thanks your experience , knowledge will help immensely.
