Alternative soluation for asylum claimant

Hello Dears,

I'm asylum claimant, was waiting for a long time for hearing and seems more years of writing are coming...

I have a work permit, I'm working for a company and my NOC (A Group) is well requested here in Ontario.

My employer is willing to help me by anyway and I'm wondering if there is any way to have a PR such as LIMA or the new fast track program (heard that I can not apply for express entry although my points are around 430.

Do you guys know any alternative solution? I dont want to spend more years of waiting for a hearing that may never reschedule...

How long have you been waiting ? I have the same issue my hearing postponed and it seems never gonna happen and I'm dying everyday

I know any work experience you have gained while in Canada waiting for your asylum claim to be processed cannot be counted as work experience towards any immigration program. Do you have at least a year of work experience from outside of Canada.

Do you mean there is a possibility? if some one had already claimed asylum and could he apply skilled migration while being in Canada?

Yes, I do have 6+ years of experience outside Canada and I'm really interested to know if I can get out of the asylum procedure based on what I have.

Could you please share your experience?

Based on your postings it seems like you arrived and claimed asylum mid-February 2017, Although any delay must seem frustrating I think you need to be a little more patient. You haven't been waiting very long compared to many others whether it is for immigration, family reunification or asylum. It does seem like you are busy working and trying to get your qualifications recognized which is great. There are delays associated with all forms of immigration. Things like security clearances may be difficult and long no matter which form of immigration you apply for if your country of origin is unstable at the moment. Best of luck and remember you are very lucky compared to many others you are working, your English is strong and you have been given access to many Canadian services. This is just one hurdle of many you will face.

The latest statistics are showing up to 11 years of a waiting time to get a new hearing, I don't think you are going to wait for all these years while you have alternatives.

Given many more people trying to claim asylum in Canada this year people have to expect that they will need to wait a bit longer. It's impossible as the application has been submitted in Toronto.

You are not a legacy claimant. They also have been waiting 5 years not 11 which is still unacceptable but was due to a change in policy. Given your complaints about waiting I'm sure you also agree that they deserve priority given they have been waiting much longer than all other asylum applicants. By the time you gather all your information and then apply to get EE or FSW I highly doubt you will be processed any faster than your refugee claim. Ask your lawyer I assume they will tell you the same thing. When applying for immigration/asylum you are at the mercy of the government and it's policies.

Nothing is impossible bro.i had the same situation like yours.my hearing was prosponded on March,2017 in Toronto.now i moved to Montreal and got a new date

Before others consider moving to Montreal, no hearing date is guaranteed. Unfortunately there is always a chance of a cancellation. Hopefully this will not be the case but please be aware before doing something drastic like moving.

I think the condition in Montreal is better then Toronto.but it's getting worse.
