Hi,

I am working since 11 years and included all employment details in personal section. However I have made many business travels to different countries as part of my job, the duration of which varies from 2-3 days to 1-2 Months. Do I need to include all theses details as one one entry in my personal history section as employment and also include travel details in "Travel History" section?

If yes, then do I need to have same number of entries in "Work History" section as well?

Is there any mapping required between "Personal History" and "Work History".

Request help please.

I reckon ur trips will go under personal history. Work history is to provide information about ur employers. If it was under the same employer then do not include these business trips in work history.

Personal history needs to contain the major activities in your life, e.g. employment, education, unemployment, military service, etc.

Travels do not go in here if it was only for holidays or business. Even longer business trips I wouldn't include here. These all go in your travel history. It's a different story if you took some time off (e.g. a sabbatical) or quit your job to go traveling / backpacking. I had one such period between studying and my first job, and I listed it in personal activities (unemployed - "traveling").

Consequently, all your work history must be included in the personal history section because the personal history section can't have any gaps.
Hi Dan,

Not sure if you will read this as the thread is a couple of years old, but if you get this please can you help, fingers crossed!

I have a period of travel to contend with too. I left my job in the UK in Aug 2009 and traveled in the USA for a few months (Aug 2009 to October 2009) and then went to Canada (October 2009) on a working holiday visa and got a job there in November 2009. Can you advise how I should complete the 'State' and 'Town' detail in the Personal History section - I visited lots of different States and towns during this time - should I just select one and give further detail in a LOE?

One other question - in my Address History section what should I put as my address for this period? Do I need to list every hostel, hotel and campsite I ever stayed in?! Or leave it as my UK address for that period and add a LOE?? Any help you can give would be massively appreciated.

Many thanks,

Emma

Hi Emma! Your address should be your residence address, in my opinion. For example, I live in my hometown, and I had a business trip to China, and stayed there for 3 months. I put my address for this period as my hometown, and added trip to the travel history. As I understand it, address history is for your permanent residence, no need to add hotels etc where you stayed while travelling. Later I moved to another country where I got a residence permit, so I added this info to address history. You can explain it in LoE for sure, if it bothers you.
As for in travel history, you can list several places. I did. Not sure about personal history section.

Thank you! Really appreciate such a quick response. I think as you say I will put my UK address as my address for the months I was in the USA and explain it in and LoE for completeness. Probably overcautious, but peace of mind. Right now just to figure out the personal history bit. Thanks again. :) Every best, Emma

Need urgent help, I traveled in different countries for the same employer and same NOC. Now, I need to mention Work History in EE profile. Do I need to create separate sections country wise?
