We were friend about 1 years and we went to travel about 8 month ago.
At this time we want to marry with each other. She live in Canada and she want to come to Iran for 1 week for wedding ceremony.
Her family do not know about her marriage and both of us are single. My family with our friends want to take simple ceremony.

The question is:
1- Is she qualified for sponsorship?
2- What evidence Canada immigration need from us?
3- How much is the risk of our program?
4- How much time need for our process.

Thank you very much

Salam,

1- Yes she can sponsor you if you get married.
2- Among other things, IRCC will need the marriage certificate with an official translation in English or French.
3- Not having the wife's family present at the wedding ceremony will likely be a red flag for IRCC. I'm not saying it will not be accepted, but it will draw their attention. But, out of curiosity, is it even possible for her to marry you in Iran, without the signature of her dad? An option might be for you to apply for a tourist visa, come to Canada and get married here.
4- I'm not sure about applying outland from Iran, but IRCC announced that they want to process both inland and outland applications in 12 months. If you apply from inland, you also have the option to apply for an open work permit (you cannot if you apply outland).

Thank you for response.
Yes this is possible to marry without father permit in Iran if she does not maiden.
I think if I take tourist visa, I need to go to Iran consulate in Canada but there is not any Iran consulate in Canada as I know.
Yes we will translate in French or English.
We want she come to Iran for ceremony.
Do you think IRCC need photo or video of ceremony?
As I know in new rules of immigration PR will achieve as sponsored person come to Canada and do not need to wait for 2 years.
Therefor I think there is no problem for work permit.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp
hanges to conditional permanent residence

Sponsored spouses or partners: your permanent residence is no longer dependent on you living with your sponsor for a period of 2 years. Find out more about these changes.
Do you think is there any problem if she come to Iran only for marriage?
How the IRCC will find out her family do not in the ceremony?

Thank you

Form IMM5532 "Relationship information and sponsorship evaluation" Question #9

"Were there formal ceremonies or events to recognize or celebrate your relationship"
You check yes or no, and when checking yes it asks Where the ceremony was then check boxes of who attended
It asks if principal applicants parents, and family members attended, then asks if the sponsors parents and family attended. If you check no to any of them you have to explain why.

You cannot send videos for immigration, just photos. So take a lot of photos. When you send photos, you have to describe who's in it or what was the occasion. So, for example, photos of a trip you made together (if you did), you definitely need to send photos of the ceremony and you identify who was present,...
For IRCC, to accept that your wife sponsors you, they must be convinced that you are in a real, genuine relationship. They also look at traditions in the country of origin. So because you did not cohabit together (I know you cannot do it in Iran without being married), because the parents of the wife will not be aware of the relation, this will definitely draw the attention of the officer that will review your case. Again, I'm not saying that it will not be accepted, but I saying that IRCC might need more proofs to believe that you are in a real relationship. That's why, if you can get a visitor visa, and come to live with her in Canada to apply inland, you will than accumulate proofs of cohabitation, you would be able to open joint bank account, to have a lease with both of your names,... In my opinion, that would be the safest way to get approved.

Yes, if you want to get a tourist visa to come to Canada, you have to apply through the Canadian embassy in Ankara, Turkey. The Canadian embassy in Tehran was closed in 2012. It's also possible to do it via Dubai, UAE, but Ankara is the official office for Iranians.

Don't worry, no lawyer needed. You can always come on this forum and ask your questions and get answers for free!
Even if she is not Canadian, she could marry you in Canada, but that's true that Iran wouldn't recognize the marriage easily. So yes it might be better that you do it in Iran. Photos of your trip in Turkey will be important to add. If you go to a honeymoon, that will also be important to add some pictures. There is a maximum of photos you can submit, so it's important to select photos of different events that are significant. Your chat archive and text message are also good to prove your relationship. But I think they will also need to be translated to be accepted (I'm not sure, I'll check later today).

Do you know how many photos needed?
as you will not be living together when you will apply:
Proof of Contact: Provide letters, printed text messages, emails, or social media conversations, or other documented proof of contact between you and your sponsor. Provide a maximum of 10 pages. Reminder: all documents submitted to IRCC must be translated into either English or French.

Proof of your sponsors's visit, such as airline ticket coupons or used boarding passes, photocopies of pages of passport for your sponsor showing entry-exit stamps supporting visits, etc. If your sponsor did not visit you, make sure you provide an explanation in your IMM5532 form (part C, Question 4).

Photos of your wedding, customary celebrations, engagement, and/or outings. Provide a maximum of 20 photographs to support your relationship (taken at different times and places). Please write your name and date of birth on the back of each photo and provide a brief description of the context on the back of each photograph; (do not provide CD, DVD, USB keys);

AND provide at least 2 of the following:
- Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits)
- Documentary evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor, and/or shared expenses.
- Other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters from friends/family, social media information showing a public relationship, etc.).

All of the above comes from the checklist form: IMM5533E
You can google it.

For Iranians, there are actually few mores forms to fill, IMM5562 (regarding all travels you made) and IMM5546 (regarding military service).
this page is specific for Iranians:

Iran - Additional forms for residents
  • Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562] May 2004
The principal applicant and all family members included in the application who are 18 years of age or older must complete this form.
  • Details of Military Service [IMM 5546] December 2016
Complete this form for anyone included on the application who has ever held a high ranking/senior official government position or served in the military, army, defence or police unit, (including National Service), and submit a copy of the military card/booklet, including blank pages, if applicable.
Iran – Instruction(s) for documents
  • If you hold a passport from this country, you and your family members included in the application must provide:
    • Photocopies of the first 10 pages of passports (including the page showing passport validity). If possible, passports should be valid for at least three years after application date.
    • Photocopies of the identity cards (“Shenas Nameh”) issued by the General Department of Civil Status and Census Registration, Ministry of the Interior.
Note: If a birth, marriage or divorce occurred in another country and is not registered in the Shenas Nameh, the principal applicant and/or the sponsor must provide a copy of the certificate issued abroad along with a sworn affidavit explaining those discrepancies.
  • Document for military service: The principal applicant must submit his/her military service (or exemption) card.

So they ask specifically for your Shenas Nameh cards. You can check here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
you have to select "spouse" and "residing in Iran". If you follow the guide, you should not have problems.

My other plan is:
First she come to Iran and we marry
Then she ask for visitor visa for me
Then we live with each other in one house at least for 1 month and we open new bank account together
After this month we start new program fro spouse sponsorship.
Could we marry in Canada again?
Is it safer way?

You have more chances of getting a visitor visa being a single and having a job in Iran. The immigration officer must be convinced that you have strong ties in your country. If you are married and your wife in Canada, it's more likely that you could try to stay illegally in Canada. If you get married after you received your visa, then you come to join her here and you apply from within Canada. The advantage of applying from in Canada is that you'll accumulate proofs of relationship while your application is processed. If IRCC requires additional proofs, that would be easy to do if you are living together. But again, you can do it from outland. In my opinion, it would be safer from inside Canada, but can work.

Regarding the marriage, technically you can get married anywhere in the world. However to have it recognized by Iran, that might be much easier to do it in Iran.

Dear Soheil,
I was in the same situation, I am a Canadian Citizen, I was previously married, got divorced and immeadiately went to Iran to mary my fiance. Stayed for 2 weeks so we can do ceremony and came back. My parents were not in the ceremony due to political usses they cannot travel to Iran. We had many pictures from previous trips to gether. Since it was Moharam we just had the small ceremony, (no weeding allowed dure that month) so just did aghd, with my husbands family, and close friends..

I returned to Canad got a lawyer and appleid immeaditely for sponsorship. DO NOT TRY FOR CANADA Visa, you are young and they will not give it to you and you will ave a rejevttion in your name.

If you have chats, pictures, letter form firends and family from both side that say they know about your relationship. If she has sent to money from (Sarafi) all of these can be proof.

Hope this helps.

I applied in November, I was accepted as a sponsor, now we are waiting to see what happens with my husbands file., but even if they find it a bit suspious they will not reject you they will ask for interview, and you can explain it there.

Go with your plans.

I think it will be unlikely that you will get a visa to enter Canada while you do your sponsorship. I would plan on at least one year apart bit most likely more. Unfortunately you have only met one time in person before your wedding. It would be best to have pictures from different visits not just one trip and the wedding. I would include information about what sounds like a domestic abuse situation that was brought to court. There are many reasons why family members may not be able to return to Iran to attend a wedding but if you provide a summary of the court records that will explain why her parents weren't welcome at the wedding.
