Hi

I submitted my ITA PR application 2 days ago and I just noticed that the file size for the photo I uploaded was 45 kb and the required one is 60 kb. I have a larger file size photo but by accidentally I uploaded the old one :( do you think this will be a problem for them? if so are there any ways to update this?

Probably not a problem, but you can submit the correct photos by CSE anyway to be safe.

well the picture quality was good. when I scanned, scanner put it on a Letter size paper and I edited that in paint and changed the frame size so it's just showing the photo itself.

what is CSE? and is it easy to do?

Case specific enquiry:

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

The file size requirement is so that they can quickly check if your photos are the correct minimum dimensions and bit depth. remember the dimensions for the digital photos are MINIMUM requirements, so you don't need to edit your photos to be exactly those dimensions.

I called CIC to make sure about the photo and they said there is no Min req only Max 4mb file size limitation they said. If they don't like it, they will ask me to upload new picture instead of rejecting the whole application.

Also our conversation ended up talking about my wife. My wife is in the application as non-accompanying spouse because when I added her as accompanying I got 30 scores less. The agent said you shouldn't be losing any points because of that. I said there is a list in CIC's website with spouse without spouse scores for express entry. The agent said don't waste your time sponsoring your wife after just change your wife from non-accompanying to accompanying spouse. she also said Canada needs people like you who have education and work experience in Canada and their family.

I'm little bit scared changing her to accompanying spouse and I might get rejected.
