I read somewhere on this forum that, in order to be considered CEC, when you create your Express Entry profile, you need to put "0" in the available funds. Is that correct?

You put $0 if you ONLY want to be considered for CEC. If you want to be considered for BOTH CEC and FSW, then you would put an available fund number that meets the requirements for FSW.

I did my Masters in Canada, and have worked in Canada in a NOC B job for a year, I dont have any foreign experience. I never thought about the FSW route. Do I qualify for FSW as well?

btw, why couldnt i find anything about putting "0" in order to be considered for CEC on the IRCC website??

Can anyone provide source for this? Or this is a conclusion based on the previous applicants' experience?

but can i just put "0"? Since I have a permanent full time job in Canada already. I am just curious where people get the idea of "0" in order to be consider only CEC. It's not listed anywhere on the IRCC website? (or maybe I just havent found it yet)

Hello Wenfeizh, did you end up putting "0"? How did it go? I'm currently filling out my EE profile and I'm in the same situation as you. I have a permanent job in Canada and only looking to be considered for CEC. I'd really appreciate your answer!

Right now I'm in the initial steps of filling out my Express Entry Profile to enter the pool, but one of the questions on the 'Personal Details' form asks:

"How much money (in Canadian dollars) will XXXX bring to Canada to support themselves and their family?"

Is it okay to put $0 in this field as well? This is before the ITA. I'm a single applicant with a full-time permanent job in Canada, hoping to be invited through CEC.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

As long as you're eligible under the CEC program you can safely put "0"
