Next 3 weeks will be completely dedicated to IELTS. I have my work cut out lol. I need to pay extra attention to Listening and Reading. For reading i also did the Youtube practice. However it wasn't very helpful to me so what i did. I printed all the listening practice i could from my office printer susshhh lol, and practiced as in real exam. Hence i was able to score 8. I had to score at least 35 out of 36 cos i made 2 mistakes guaranteed and two i had to guess, daydream, surprise surprise lol. I looked for a real time listening mock exams on youtube. It helped me a lot. It i get CLB 9 this time, you guys already know drinks are on me eh, lol.You're free to do what works best for youWhy are so many people predicting a draw today? I am at 448 and want it to have ASAP... But just wanna know if there is any reason other than that it is a Wednesday today?
I missed ITA by just a mark in last draw and so don't wanna have disappointment again, if no draw happens today.
I am not a pessimist... But just trying to set my expectation right this time...

Do you think draw will be declared today considering there was no maintenance message on CIC yesterday?
Also, is it standard procedure adapted by IRCC to schedule maintenance before declaring draws? I'm more than hopeful for it to be declared today but my pessimist intuition says it won't.

It's the Ray of Hope thread! We hope for a draw every day, but on Wednesdays and Fridays it's one big f5 party. I think it's a combination of historical draws taking place on Wednesdays or Fridays and that they typically have at least 2 per month.Why are so many people predicting a draw today? I am at 448 and want it to have ASAP... But just wanna know if there is any reason other than that it is a Wednesday today?

Personally I'm hoping that all our positive energy finds its way to CIC and they go wild and drop to at least 420-425 today. That will start to move to pool forward and bring on the rain.

In 2013 i was in Nepal for couple of months to gather my documents for FSWP. When i went to collect my PCC, i was told there was report in my name for breaking in to someone's house. My bro-in-law was told i had to be called to the station in order to be identified two people who got caught. Thank god the police inspector who was student of my bro-in-law talk to other big talk officer and he then apologized as well. Later on we found out the fkr who used my name, also used my father's name which is even more common than mine here lol. In fact that fkr used my name when i was here in 2011 for my sister's wedding. So that must have been a person who knew me and my family very well. Now you can imagine how popular my name is lol.I started searching your name on LinkedIn
Anyway my linkedn is pretty bare. Only three weeks ago i logged in to it after years. But i want to keep it updated now as i need to be very very professional hehehe. Just one big problem, i have to take a formal photo. I will provide you the link when its ready

Week after week we hope for a draw with the lowest scores and highest ITAs. Often we're disappointed but it doesn't stop us from hoping once again next Wednesday

Let's hope we all make it through. The most problametic segment for pepole like us who are waiting for their turn is 450-600. The last time score hiked to 423 because of almost 1.2K people in it, then went back again. This time again, score went up again because of 2.2K mysterious cretures in this segment. Sad but true
I'm sitting at 379, but should be at 409 by mid August when my wife's masters gets assess and she completes her IELTS on the 29th of this month. English is her first language so we'll be having words if she does score well!
So I won't have any chance of an ITA this month, but I'm still joining in on the f5 party today and I really hope that I'm saying congratulations to many of you by the end of the day.
