I think due date is when they will "revisit" your file? If they requested documents they put a due date on there? I'm hoping someone can confirm this... ahmmm calling sneakydriver....

The due date on the notes mean they *must* complete w.e that is before that date. But we have seen cases where they don't respect the due date and they just change the due date to a later date (complicated cases, such those requiring arc). Most of the times though, this is the limit time and they will complete it long before that date.

We are sponsoring my husband's youngest son as a dependant child from Cuba to Canada. Mexico received and started processing his application March 31 2017. Medical Results Received. We're going crazy waiting. We sent in Application November 16 2016, we were cleared as sponsors December 2016.

On myCIC (GCKey), the background check went straight to "in progress" since the beginning of March when we got SA and around the time they requested our Schedule A and supplemental form (no pcc from Canada was requested with that). Our eligibility check has also been in progress since that time. We never got the message saying the next step is to do a background check. However, we have heard nothing from the VO since May 26 when they sent us an email saying our file was opened in Mexico (AOR2).

My partner submitted the PCC from Chile upfront as per his country's instructions. I don't know if they have actually started a criminality and/or security check. They still have not requested the pcc from Canada, which they probably need to complete his criminality/security check since he lived here for a year. So this makes me think that they might not have done anything with the background check despite it having been in progress for 4 months now.

Hoping to find out where they are at with these things when we get our GCMS notes which we should get in about 2 weeks (or less I hope).

You should hear something from them since you are a December applicant. They received our app at the end of January.

BTW, we have 5 lines in our eCAS. The last two being added in May when they said our app was being processed on May 4 and that they sent us official correspondence that they opened our app in Mexico on May 26.

Wow, another request for Schedule A? That is crazy. I think the only good thing coming out of this is that you know they are looking at your file. We haven't heard anything from them since end of May. Since then, maybe they haven't looked at our file at all.

Yeah this is the third schedule a theyve asked for - this time it was a version from 2012 (much easier to fill out) and divorce certs for both of us (weve never married prior so provided an explanation letter and a birth cert for our child who im pregnant with - ultrasound sufficed). Theyve been pretty good at responding to us and helping us so im happy with it

Just dropping by! My application hasn't moved after interview approval (feb) The Ecas are useless still show from nov. 30. I'm ordering GCMs notes....getting impatient!

Geez, its been long time. Let us know when you received your notes. I admired your patience! because i am getting impatient even tho I know i won't heard from them in around (hopefully) one or two months, we just send the PCC two weeks ago, Lawyer said he will forward any correspondence from CIC. Just wondering if VO sends knowledge of receipt when they get documents over mail.
If we don't heard from them in two months (from the date we sent the PCC) I will order my GCMS again. I've been checking eCAS everyday but as expected no updates.
So far no request of interview. I hope they don't make my husband travel to Mexico City. Mostly because of the expenses and the extra time.

I never got receipt confirmation of docs sent. Only when my husband emailed them did they say they had everything they needed and would let us know if anything else was needed later on. Yep still nothing. Still need to put together request for notes! Will keep you posted! Fingers crossed you don't get interview. I never want to relive that stress!
