Hi all!

Just looking for some assistance. I have recently entered the pool, and have been granted 418 points. Up until now, when using the points calculator on the EE website, I have always been granted 444.

It appears from some investigation, that my year's work experience in Canada is not contributing towards my 'total' work experience. On the EE points calculator, if I say that I have worked 1x years skilled work in Canada, and therefore 1x years skilled total, I am awarded 444 points.

However, when I say that I have worked 1x years skilled in Canada, but somehow 0x skilled years total, I am awarded 418.

As my EE profile has 418 points, it would seem that my skilled work in Canada, does not contribute towards my total skilled work experience?

Some of my key information:

- I have 1x year class B, skilled work experience in Canada (therefore, 1x year told skilled work experience) - I do not have any skilled work experience outside of Canada. Though I do have class C work experience outside of Canada.

- I have a 3 years Bachelor degree from the United Kingdom, which WES has converted as a 4 year Bachelors degree for Canada.

- I did the CELPIP exam, with the following results: Listening 8, Reading 10, Writing 9, Speaking 11.

It always says on the points calculator that it is just a guide and the calculated score may not be definitive.

Was your work experience in Canada done in the last 3 years? Only Canadian work experience from the last 3 years is counted.

Thanks for your reply - yes, it was within the last 3 years. I started working for my company in November 2015. In May 2017 I started a new role with them, so I listed it as two different jobs on the profile, but regardless, the first position with them is over a year.
