Hello SS people.



I finally received my PPR 2 days ago, process took exactly 7 months 22 days between AOR and PPR. Will submit my passport next week inshaAllah


Here’s my timeline:


FSW-O, NOC 3113

ITA: Oct 19 2016

AOR: Nov 7 2016

Visa office CPC-Ottawa

BGC IP: Nov 23rd

Additional documents requested January 6 and 11th Military service details and travel history

My file went to security screening during BGC according to my GCMS notes

PPR: June 28 2017


My file was process entirely at CPC-Ottawa (I’m not sure if it ever got transferred to my local VO but I don’t think it did, I received PPR from CPC-Ottawa as well as all communications from ITA till PPR.

I don’t think my employer was ever contacted or at least he never told me anything, but my employer has internet presence and he was very cooperative and gave me an employment letter with all the CIC specifications without even asking me what it is for, he just did what I asked.



I won’t be whining and complaining on this forum any longer hopefully, so please if anybody need any help just PM me (so that I get an email notification) and I’ll be very happy to help anytime.


God I wished to write this post for so very long. Thanks everyone on the forum for the fantastic help and support, bless you all.

Yup, I'd say about 7 months of SS only cause everything else was cleared in two weeks.

When I logged in Mycic yesterday next to my PR application it said "updated", but when I opened it there was nothing new, all the stages are on the same status like before and there were no new messages. Now when I open it, it's back to "submitted". Does it mean anything?
I requested GCMS notes a month ago and raised a CSE a few days ago, could it be any of that?

This happened to me 2 weeks ago when they fixed the (More documents needed) glitch back to no additional documents needed, but then again i could be wrong

Well lets assume it meant they finished my SS at that time and you'll get your ppr within 2 weeks!

You know the strangest thing is I waited eagerly for PPR for over 7 months and I was checking my email and Mycic daily, and then while on vacation I didn't check my email for 2-3 days, then one morning I was too bored that I actually checked my inbox and there it was sitting there 2 days old!

7 months and 1 day so far .. I have sent CSE to them by today. Lets see what they reply.

I just received my second set of GCMS notes today, generated on 14th of June. There have been some additional activities on my file after Security Screening activities. Now the latest 3 activities say:

Activity Type - Verification QA
Status - In progress - Level 1
Date 25/05/2017

In the notes section, under text it is written that they have received the e-mails confirming my documents and they uploaded it.

Security section is still blanked, but it is no longer the latest activity, it's this verification stuff.
Is it possible that it is moving...anyone with similar experience?
