"Your processed passport has been dispatched" mean what? approval or rejection?

Can anyone explain the situation to me? Because originally I thought that CIC will only ask for your passport after your study permit is approved, and that if they request your passport, you are golden...

What is your online status when they requested your passport?

original poster must have applied by paper and not online. Passports are usually sent in with the paper application
