Hello,

My immigration consultant told me at the beginning of this year that for spousal applications, my spouse and I need to write a "love story". I checked the document check list IMM5533E and I cannot seem to find this as a requirement. Have the requirements changed for this year or am I overlooking something?

Hi

Many people include a "love story" as additional evidence but it is not and never was actually required. The application questions address your story enough.

Our lawyers instructed the same - a narrative from the applicant's view. It was him telling our story, so to speak. Not point form. A short story, I guess you could call it.

IN OUR CASE WE DID NOT ATTACHED A SEPARATE LETTER BUT IN THE FORM BUT IN THE FORM 5532 THERE IS A SECTION AT THE VERY LAST QUESTION WHERE IT SAYD TO WRITE SOMETHING IN SUPPORT OUR RELATION SO WE WROTE OUR STORY IN THAT BOX ..
