Hi everyone,

Has anyone living outside mexico requested a police certificate for ePRA. I am an EE. Am trying to understand the process better.

Do I submit my ePR application then send documents to canadian embassy in mexico? Would I be specifically asked for the Mexican PCC?

Is there a time limit after submission to send said documents?

What is the average processing time for PCC after documents are received in Mexico?

How do I know PCC is ready and has been uploaded?

I was in Mexico for a total of 170 days excluding period I traveled out of the country. I assumed I wouldn't be needing a PCC but now am about to submit my profile am a little worried.

Hi! I have same questions like you.

I received ITA in April and submitted eAPR today. I need Mexico PCC as I lived there for more than 6 months. The instructions on CIC website are unclear as far as the timeline of events are concerned for Mexico PCC.
Should I wait to hear from CIC on Mexico PCC or can I go ahead and send the required documents to Canadian Embassy in Mexico?

Not sure about how PPC works for Mexico but I am assuming it's the same process as Indian consulate.

For my Indian PCC, I have contacted nearby Indian Consulate in the U.S (since I am the U.S.) and they have issued Indian PCC for me. Please see if you have Mexican consulate nearby where you stay. Their website will have all the details about PCC for sure.

The process is different.

One has to wait for an official request from IRCC AFTER submitting the eAPR (during the processing of one's application) in order to obtain the PCC.
