My sister has been working in the LCP for 7mos then she went home. She didn't go back for a really good reason and her contract was voided. After a year she found another employer willing to sponsor her as long as she has a valid work permit and visa. Does her work permit and visa she got from her former employer still valid? Her new employer needs to apply for an LMIA. If the LMIA is approved, she needs to apply for a new work permit.
