Hey guys,
I got the OINP interest letter a couple days back. Now, since the application would require a sum of CAD 1500, a substantial amount for me, I would like to clarify a couple things before I proceed. Appreciate your responses.
I do satisfy the eligibility criteria in all respects, but there are couple things that might have an impact later on in the process.
Details:
Education
I have a Canadian equivalent of a Masters, the details of which I have used in the EE application.
I also have a Canadian equivalent of a Bachelors degree, for which, I took two extra years to complete. I have not used that info in the EE application simply because it was not necessary. I do not intend to hide it though, when asked for it.
Work Experience
2.5 years (July 2012 to Jan 2015) - NOC 2173.
Sine Jan 2015, I haven't had a regular job per se. The time has been spent travelling, working on an odd freelance project, or basically just living off my savings and working on business ideas and testing them.
Questions:
- In your opinion/experience, how much of an impact will these two facts have on the likelihood of a nomination?
- In case I am not greatly interested in working the NOC 2173 job after I arrive, and would just like to wing it and see what works out best for me and then decide on future course. How should I handle it during this entire process?
Thanks again and have a good day!
