Current estimated processing time is 25 days. Actual processing time will depend on the application.

If you applied online then all updates/notifications will be in your MyCIC account. If you submitted a paper application through VFS then you will get an email when the visa office makes a decision and dispatches your processed passport back to VFS

Answered in your other thread. No - your child cannot attend school. To attend school you need to obtain a study permit for your child and be prepared to pay $14K in tuition per year.

I don't understand what you mean by "your rights". You don't really have any rights as a tourist in Canada. You can't go to school. You can't work. And you can't live here or move here. All you can do is visit temporarily.

With a five year tourist visa, you are allowed to come to Canada as a visitor - however you don't have the "right" to enter Canada. Whether you are allowed into Canada or not and for how long is up to the CBSA officer you encounter at the border. The maximum amount of time you will be allowed into Canada is six months - however it's possible to only be allowed in for a shorter period of time (or even refused entry) if the CBSA officer has concerns.
