If you have a very good reason as to why you did not add your spouse earlier and you want to add her now, you can raise a CSE and request IRCC to add your spouse to your profile. I am not aware of anyone who has done this earlier.

Good luck and keep us posted.
I don't think I can do that. because adding my spouse will bring my points under the draw at that time. That is why I want to reapply. Thanks.

Hi, please help, below is my situation.
I applied express entry for single applicant and wife not accompanying. I received PPR and already sent my passport to Visa office.
However I regretted and want to include my wife as accompanying.
In this stage of application, does it allowed for me to cancel and make new application with my wife? Or is there a rule that I will be banned for applying?

Thank you
First of all, Congrats on your PPR.

Please DO NOT submit your passport at this point of time.

Did you inform CPC Ottawa or CIO Sydney on the change of your marital status?

It would take some time to get a reply from them in such cases. But as long as you informed them of any changes in your family status, you are fine.

They would add your wife to your application and send you the medical request for her.

If there is no delay in submitting the required documents, it should be a matter of weeks adding her to your application and issuing fresh COPRs.

You would rather do the above process, than applying for a Spousal Sponsorship which would be more time consuming.

Good Luck !!

One cannot add spouse after getting PPR if s/he was already married before accepting the ITA.

Now, that you have stated you have already sent your Passport for stamping, IMO, go ahead and do your landing now.

Your wife can join you in Canada as a visitor, since she would not require a visa.

You can then start the Inland Spousal Sponsorship and she can get a work permit to work while you wait for the inland spousal process to be completed.

For a better clarity call the VO or CIC and get better informed. But my understanding is One cannot add spouse after getting PPR if s/he was already married before accepting the ITA.

Good Luck.

Thank you for the information. I do not intend to add spouse after PPR. I'm planning to reapply express entry from the beginning. The thing is i don't know if I'm allowed to do so after getting PPR. Thanks.

Hello everyone, when completing EE profile, how do you fill education for spouse when you did not get ECA done for it? Thank you.

1) You can upload as it is as long as the document is clearly visible and the total file size is 4 MB or less.
2) Yes, please do. For each section, you can have a Table of Contents as the first page. (You do not require education transcripts unless your degree is from Canada).

Well, this is bizarre, sorry to say. Why do you have to re-apply from the beginning? You can very well apply for spousal sponsorship after you land. Spousal sponsorship might take a year but you can still bring your spouse to Canada on a visitor visa. She might be allowed extensions too!

I would strongly recommend that you go ahead and land with the visa that you have. You can sponsor your spouse through the sponsorship program.

Obviously not. You get 15 CRS points for brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada. Cousin is NOT on the list.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

On the 67 point eligibility scale, you get 5 points if you have any of the following relatives -

Relatives in Canada
You, or, if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative, either a

  • parent,
  • grandparent,
  • child,
  • grandchild,
  • child of a parent (sibling),
  • child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle), or
  • grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew), who is
    • living in Canada
    • 18 years or older and
    • a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Good luck!

Friends,
I have few peculiar issues with my ECA from WES.
1. My ECA - My ECA was completed and dated Oct 2016. However, I did not receive the hard copy by post, so I followed up in December. They sent the hard copy by post. However, the date mentioned in that ECA they posted was of Dec 2016.
My Issue - While creating express entry profile, I did not notice the change, and put the date of ECA as Oct 2016. I received ITA in April. So while uploading the ECA report in education section, I noticed the date change.
So what should I do? Should I change the date of ECA in my eAPR to Dec 2016. Do I need to mention in LOE?

2. Spouse ECA - This is little complex. ECA completed Dec 2016. Again, WES did not send the report, and after follow up, they sent the report in March 2017 and put the date as March 2017. That is not all, they did a mistake in ECA report.
They put a misspelt last name in parenthesis right after the correct last name, followed by first name, fathers name etc...
Thus, the name mentioned as {LastName} (Spelling mistake {Last Name}) {FirstName} {FathersName} {MothersName}
I realized the mistake in spelling after I received ITA and requested them to rectify it. They corrected the mistake and removed the misspelt last name from parenthesis, and sent me revised report in May 2017. Which is after ITA date. In the report, they have mentioned that this is a revised report and original issued in Dec 2016. So which report should I upload in eAPR and what date should I mention as date of ECA in eAPR education history?

Please let me know
Thanks

Hi, Will CIC count work experience of 1st March 2011 to 2 February 2015 as four years or as 3years, 11 month and 2 days... please advise.
3 years mate. It's just like age, if you are 29 years 11 months old, would you want CIC to consider you a 30 year old?

Regards
