Same here. Sent the same documents multiple times last year July/ Aug.
Makes sense that paper work might have got simplified under the new rules but one would guess that the criteria for background checks should remain the same whether you fall under the old rules or new.

Processing order may have been changed too i suppose.

E.g. i keep hearing that security checks start after medicals have been cleared. Seems this may be the old process that adds to the overall timeline. Seems in my case, security checks could have started way before medical results were completed. I dont see why multiple processes cannot run in parallel.

Having said that, the incompetency at some local VO offices can contribute to longer processing times.

e.g. there is a note on the file from a VO saying "updated forms never recv'd" and right below this note is an earlier note from another VO saying "updated forms recv'd". Makes me wonder

hi, i got medical request and fbi/police certificate letter request. one question: can u submit the documents multiple times from mycic ? i.e. first submit police certificate and then the other docs or the submit has to be done only once after all documents are uploaded ?

Also what documents are required for proof of medical ? and for proof of fbi application?

Dear All, i am June 2011 applicant. My parents are here in Canada. At final stage they sent me following mail.

"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has been transferred to a visa office outside Canada for further review of your eligibility and admissibility for a permanent resident visa." They have sent to Delhi.
Can someone suggest what action I need to take so that they process it within Canada. There is no dependent.

N Heer
