ENGLISH TEST FOR CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

Hi guys I just completed my 4 yrs residency term for Canadian Citizenship. While filling up citizenship form I found that for language abilities we can attach our Secondary or Post Secondary diploma, certificate or transcript. But when my wife try to confirm that new comer guy her that still we have to give English language test. I try to confirm on cic.ca site there also same thing. So my question is as i am Bacheor of commerce and my wife is master of computer still we need to give english language test for Citizenship.

An expert advise will be really appreciated.

I have bachelor from Mitchner UofT, but didn't take chances so I still attended 10 classes from YMCA Linc class to get my English certificate.

You must have English LINC certificate, IELTS, CELPIP or expect long delays. They don't give a toss if you have Doctoral and save lives or billionaire in bay street.

Get a LINC certificate or give IELTS or CELPIP exam and attach marksheet.
Pretty much all immigrants need to give proof of english proficiency.

QUESTION ON PROOF OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN CITIZENSHIP FORMS :

I have( IELTS - Academic) & MBA degree from India & my wife holds Phd degree ( No IELTS) from India. Is that good to provide the transcripts & certificates for these degrees as a proof for English language or do we have to go for IELTS or some english tests as they have mentioned on the website.

We are eligible to apply for citizenship when C-6 kicks in this fall. Just want use this remaining time for completing all the documents that are required.

Your reply on my concerns if you already gone through this process is highly appreciated.

If you have completed your diploma or degree with medium of instruction was in English you don't need to attend linc or any other English training course. Provide you diploma or degree with transcript. Hope this will help you!

Has anyone submitted the citizenship application with the degree and transcripts from India and got accepted without providing the English training certificates?

I have the B-Tech degree from India , although the medium of education was English and the degree/transcripts are in English but the documents doesn't explicitly say that the instruction of language was English . What should be done in this scenario ?

I have read some threads which says there application was accepted even though the documents (degree/transcripts) did not had the specific wording that the education was completed in English while some other people are saying that there application was returned by cic saying proof of language is not sufficient . It is a bit confusing . Can someone please tell me if they are in same situation and what they did ?

If you can get a certificate from your university saying your Bacheor of commerce and master of computer courses were taught in English, that would suffice! My suggestion, however, would be to get LINC certification...
