Ok, you're on! What kind of music do you like! I am more of kings of leon, sade, chris rea, ed sheeran, but I can do also jazz or since it's a party I like also david guetta, pit bull, jennifer lopez, bob sinclair...etc :) :) :) Yay! I can't wait!
All sounds pretty good, specially the Kings of Leon. I love good beat when i'm in the mood to dance :) You can do jazz??? That's awesome. It will come handy if we decide to get high as well hehehehe. It is shaping up to be a good one :)

Yes, It is!! I'm constantly in touch with archaeological, historical and artistic monuments, as Mexico is one of the most culturally richest country in Latin America (nearly 190 open public archaeological zones, 125,000 historic monuments and 2000 artistic monuments) so, this job has showed me more than the visitors could see :)
Fascinating! I have visited your country thrice and it has always impressed me. Museo Antropologia in DF is one of the finest in the world!

I shall be highly grateful if somebody who has already recreated EE profile explain in detail the steps taken to recreate the existing submitted profile in order to be eligible for NOI
I haven't withdrawn and recreated yet...
however,I think the option to withdraw is there ,just follow it & then create a fresh profile...
only thing is 'No' is the answer to 'have you ever applied before for ......'
None of us have applied yet....we just have created a profile...we will apply only after ITA...so answer that question 'No'' ...I don't think there's anything else to it...

Hi All,
I have gotten a doubt while filling express entry profile. I am working as IT professional and having 10 years of IT experience. Out of my 10 years of experience, I've worked for 6 companies. My designation in three companies are Software Engineer. So My NOC code is 2173

My question is

1. In other three companies, my designations are 'Technical Lead', 'Associate Lead' and 'Programmer Analyst'.
So what is NOC code for these designations. Please advice
You have to choose your NOC according to your duties and responsibilities, not with the designation or title.

I think it should be Programmer 2174 because your job includes programming in Java. Software Engineer 2173 is more generic. Its for people like me who donot code but use Platforms like Pega Rules for development. :)
Honestly, I am still confused with my NOC until now. I do all the job duties stated in 2174, 2173, 2171, 40% db admin, 50% tech support. But as my friend says, 2174 is for development and 2173 is for research. Since I was hired to develop programs, I chose 2174 and asked my manager to remove some duties not relevant to my NOC so as not to confuse the case officers.

Just curious.

With so many RoH threads, have you folks ever done a poll to count the occupations and country of origin amongst us?

There seems to be at least 80% of thread participants are indian doing things related to IT / computer / programmer here

why can't we....;)
may be we'll hit the market with hand brewed 'Exotic Himalayan' brand...and we'll keep a catch line
"turn of all heaters this winter....just take home a pint:D of Himalayan..:p:p"
Ohh old days..When I worked in Saudi, I had formed a group in Jeddah where we meet every Thursday night (start of the weekend), thus we call our group "Thursday Group" or TG for short. Parties without alcohol are not so much fun so we have to source for that popular homebrewed alcohol called sidiqi or sadiqi, which is pretty damn expensive for that kind  Do you have any choice when you live in a country that completely bans alcohol? They say that that alcohol is toxic since it contains as much as 80-90% alcohol and contains impurities. Well, I am still alive and kicking ;)

What of AGE? Because some of us are with Clb9 and above also with masters and still around 400.
To understand why age is a big factor we would have to first understand why Canada is bringing in immigrants from all over the world.

Canada wants skilled workers who would contribute to their economy for a longer period of time. Hence, those with below the age of 30 steal all the points!

To all those who are predicting scores to go down, remember one thing the whole point of express entry to is to be fair with immigration system.
Canada does not want people who don't have good command over English, this is the reason why most people with just under grad degree and under CLB9 remain around 400 points only. This means that if you just have 1 degree and can't write, speak or comprehend English there is very less chance that you would settle in Canada.

There is no guarantee that a persons scoring even 500 points would be successful in Canada, there are lot of other reason like how fast you try to integrate into Culture or if you have close relatives who can support and guide you initially when you land there. That is the reason additional points are allotted to candidates with relative in Canada.

In my opinion, IRCC does not want to invite candidate with low scores, that is going to burden them to process enormous applications, they want candidates to improve English or gain a masters or PhD degree. Next draw would only happen once certain number of candidates reach above their threshold which could be at 410-420.
Canada needs skilled immigrants to boost their economy and they have immigration targets to meet. So the CRS cut off totally depends on how many they want to invite for PR and the number of folks applying for PR.

So if the number of folks at higher CRS is not enough to meet their immigration targets they would have to lower the cut off. If they want to maintain the CRS cut off in a particular range, they can alter the scoring system or bring in additional factors (like the June 6 changes) which would give additional points to some folks and they can retain a comparatively higher cut off.

The next draw could see the highest CRS cut off in the last 4 months but I strongly believe this has nothing to do with them trying to keep the cut off higher.

They needed time for changes to reflect on the tool after the June 6 updates before having a draw, hence the long gap between 2 consecutive draws would take the CRS cut off higher.

Further draws in the remainder of the year, would continue a declining trend but the decline would not be as steep as it was in the previous months.

So are there fixed dates when it comes to draws? I am a bit confused about this, do they come during the beginning, mid or end of a month?
For example my profile has been updated yesterday and I make past the cut off of May 31st, do I just wait and look out for an ITA message or is there an official drawing date?
CIC does not announce when they would conduct the draws, they just do it and then announce the results.

Normally, they have the draw on Wednesdays with a 2 week gap between each draw. So you can see a lot of excitement on Wednesdays in this thread!

You cannot rely on past draws or past cut offs. After your profile is active, you have to wait till the next draw and if you meet the cut off in that draw you get the invite to apply for PR or ITA.

Just re-create to get one. Mostly they are sending on Friday's at around 1-2 PM (Ottawa time).

Note:- Processing time is very fast now. some are getting Nominated Status in 7-14 days. (1 Profile got Nomination in 4-5 days after submitting online application)

I opt to go with OINP to avoid suffering from lack of draws and it's difficult to wait and watch now at 406. :D:D
hi if I submit my profile tonight
would it comes in the next draw?
pls advise!
