A weekHow soon will we receive UK PCC once application is made ?
I just finished reading this. Sounds like a good news for sure but should not take this long for the draw
Actually CIC did say that it will take a few weeks before the changes and updates are made effective. However, the subsequent issues with web site made things more complicated. I think it's about time that CIC should make their concerned function a bit more stronger so that it could at least handle the planned changes and updates. I fear what will happen with these people if, god forbid, the database is compromised, sure they won't be able to handle it at their own.Such a big disappointment that we didn't have a draw today either. Only reason I can think of is that CIC website is messed up after the changes.
Thank you so much!!!!as u mentioned to subscribe to ielts-blog, is that for free???Buddy - I can tell you what we did... We tried to complete at least one full exam daily, for around 3 weeks. Ielts-blog.com has been quite helpful. If you subscribe, it sends 3-4 real exam sample questions every week. We used them for speaking and writing. For listening we used the videos available on YouTube. And for reading we referred IDP, BC sample books and Cambridge series. We also tried to read about the main themes used for writing exam. Tried to gather content and related phrases around the themes. And most importantly, we prayed to the Almighty for his grace...
Yes, its free. - here is the page - http://www.ielts-blog.com/recent-ielts-exams/ielts-test-in-manchester-uk-june-2017-academic-module/?utm_source=getresponse&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ieltstipsandupdates&utm_content=IELTS+test+in+Manchester,+UK+-+June+2017+(Academic+Module)Thank you so much!!!!as u mentioned to subscribe to ielts-blog, is that for free???

Yes God forbid that database isn't comprised and it's only some glitches in the website.Actually CIC did say that it will take a few weeks before the changes and updates are made effective. This does make business/economic sense. Let's see, the next draw might show a new trend altogether. Too much at stake for so many people. To all those who are predicting scores to go down, remember one thing the whole point of express entry to is to be fair with immigration system.
Canada does not want people who don't have good command over English, this is the reason why most people with just under grad degree and under CLB9 remain around 400 points only. This means that if you just have 1 degree and can't write, speak or comprehend English there is very less chance that you would settle in Canada.
There is no guarantee that a persons scoring even 500 points would be successful in Canada, there are lot of other reason like how fast you try to integrate into Culture or if you have close relatives who can support and guide you initially when you land there. That is the reason additional points are allotted to candidates with relative in Canada.
In my opinion, IRCC does not want to invite candidate with low scores, that is going to burden them to process enormous applications, they want candidates to improve English or gain a masters or PhD degree. Next draw would only happen once certain number of candidates reach above their threshold which could be at 410-420.

What of AGE? Because some of us are with Clb9 and above also with masters and still around 400.To all those who are predicting scores to go down, remember one thing the whole point of express entry to is to be fair with immigration system.

I don't agree......my score is 386 I have an undergrad but I also have the CPA (USA) designation working over 10years........my score is by no means a true reflection of who I am as an individual or even my ability to settle successfully in Canada. And while I may not have any immediate relatives in Canada I more than tons of friends who will be more than happy to do what's necessary to help me and my family get settled..............a number does not capture the complete picture! To all those who are predicting scores to go down, remember one thing the whole point of express entry to is to be fair with immigration system.

Hello!!Montreal is probably the best city to live, cheap and fresh groceries, 80$ unlimited metro train and buses, connecting the entire city to downtown. This means you dont need to spend on car and gas. Lots of places to look near by 50 +-. Then you get tons of events like F1 parties, New years eve, concerts. Apartments are around 800 bucks fully furnished. So if u land a 15$ per hour job, u will spend like 1500 $ max per month that includes your travel, food, place to stay.
Now compare this with ontario (missisauga, brampton, milton, etc) groceries are 20-50% more than montreal. you definitely need a car. Lots of people say "oh you can choose bus" NOPE , not convenient whatsoever. No diversity, no french speaking people. BORING!!!!
Purely my experience and opinion...
I know where are you coming from, lot of people here quote that they have target of 72000 immigrantsThis does make business/economic sense. Let's see, the next draw might show a new trend altogether. Too much at stake for so many people.
What are
What could be the CRS score based on your research
A person who is arleady 40 years and who can contribute to economy for more 20-25 years is less favorable over a person who is 25 years age and can contribute to economy for next 35-40 years. However a person who is 40 years would have more experience compared to 25 years. When you land in Canada, both are treated same in terms of jobs and opportunities, so statistically speaking age is give more weight than actual experience itself. What of AGE? Because some of us are with Clb9 and above also with masters and still around 400.
