Hi Guys,
My wife (PR holder) is sponsoring me. I am in Srilanka. My visa application is in progress. She has a plan to come to Srilanka before getting the visa.
Are there any issues in visting to Sri Lanka while waiting for the visa?

If it's a short holiday it's fine.

Did you try calling them? Most March applications have already been forwarded to their local visa offices.I suggest you call them and check if they need anything from you.

Me and my wife are both living in Japan, is there a toll free number I can call from here?
Isn't it hard to get connected? I often hear about them being too busy.

+1 (613) 944-4000 Is the number to call them from outside Canada. Check if you can buy Skype credit and call, would be cheaper, takes around 30 mins of waiting to get an agent on the line. They are available 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday Canada time.Good luck.

Not yet.
My wife received the AOR2 on 06/07/2017. It was mentioned that submit an undertaking application to the Quebec Provincial Government. So She applied the application on 06/21/2017.

We hope that will get the medical request soon. One of my friends got the visa in 07 months. He applied in June 2016 and got a visa in January 2017. He is in Vancouver

yes we both are travel on same boat . i just look spreadsheet same time line for both of us
