Hello All,

Still a newbie here on the forum, but been reading a lot on these forums already.

So I'm an October, 2016 outland application applying for spousal PR. My husband is Canadian and I am British. I called the other day to ask about any updates going on with my application, they basically said they have everything in order and my medical and background checks are complete. They were working on my eligibility checks now. They last contacted me in January and my application changed in the final decision section from 'not started' to 'in progress' (that was in Feb) Oh and I also asked them whether my application has been transferred to another VO or not..they said no and it's all in Mississauga still.

Anyways, I'm now 8 months pregnant and my baby is due August, I was under the impression that I should only let CIC know after the baby is born...

I just got some information that maybe there is a form that I could use and send to CIC to inform them of my pregnancy and that would push my application as an emergence, is this true?

Oh and I forgot to add, I'm on the IEC visa now which expires next month...and I will be applying for visitor visa in the mean time.

If anyone could help, that would be great!

Thanks

No they won't push your application through faster because you are pregnant.

I think I have read that you only have to inform them after the child is born, but someone may be able to shed insight on that.

Hi

As said above, IRCC will not speed up your app because you are pregnant. You don't need to notify IRCC until the baby is born.
