Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hello, I applied back in June 2016. I got fingerprints request , medical exam request and sponsor approval last week. I was wondering how long will it take to get the interview with my sponsor? He is going away for a trip in September and wont be back until beginning of October. Im afraid they might call us for the interview while he is away. Is there any way to reschedule the interview? Should i receive the interview appointment before September?
I already sent my fingerprints all im waiting for is to have my medical exam done next Tuesday.
Any information is welcome!

There is really no way to know. But yes, you can certainly request a reschedule.

I am posting in the 2016 thread because there may be more people here that have been through this process then in the 2017.
I want to ask a question about getting the Medical exam done? I got my request last week and am having a hard time figuring out everything.

I was wondering if there was anyone on here that has had their medical done in Calgary? Where did you go? Did you have to go to two places to get different tests done? or was the tests done at the same place same time?

I made an appointment for a medical at one place and they want to charge $225 but they dont do urine, xray, blood test at their clinic! like then what am i paying for??? So think i will cancel that one...

So the panel physicians can charge whatever they want TBH. I can only comment on the clinic we visited in Kitchener, ON. They also do not do blood or X-Ray (which are required, and it is common to not have these in-office). We paid $140 for the exam, $15 for the blood work, and $40 for the X-Ray. Usually they are in the same office building, and you just walk from one office to the other.

I went to http://www.grunberg.ca/ because I could get appointment very fast. Unfortunately I couldnt do xrays or blood there. For blood I had to wait few days to find appointment. I did xrays the same day as doctor appointment in TD Square, they were super fast. They send my medical 2 days after they got all results and medical was passed on MyCIC a week after.

Hmmmm this sounds alright.. I did find a medical center that i believe may have all the tests in one building so i might just book there...
I'm with staying within the building i just want everything handled for me and done on the same day.

I am surprised the doctor allowed you to wait that long/go to a different building. At the appointments we did, while you are in with the doctor, the receptionist brings the emedical form and shows your picture to the staff at the lab and the radiology clinic. They also only take appointments up to 3pm because they want to make sure there is enough time for you to complete everything that day.

I think they try to make sure that the same person examined by the doctor is the same person who has blood drawn and has an X-Ray. I am sure cases are rare where someone tries to switch out, but just in case, right?
