1. )

I am planning on applying with foreign work experience as an ESL teacher, I have a good offer to teach English in Dubai at a private school as a Secondary English teacher (Gr. 7-8). My job duties/description fit NOC 4031 but I am just wondering if I will have any difficulty applying with foreign work experience under this NOC.

2.)
I also have a friend who wants to apply as a line cook, he currently works at East Sides, his job duties seem to be pretty split between NOC 6322 (Cooks) and 6711 (food counter attendant, and kitchen helpers)

  • Ensure the quality of food is outstanding each and every time and items are produced quickly and efficiently with pride and attention to detail

  • Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment in a clean, sanitized state

  • Restock any low items during the shift

  • Perform all opening and closing assignments as instructed

  • Follow safe food handling procedures at all times

  • Adhere to the Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Program
I just took this off a sample job posting, but seems to be about similar Would this fall under 6711 or 6322? He does seem to prepare 'full meals' and supervises other kitchen staff and oversees operations of his section. But still uses grills, deep fryer, oven and other equipment to prepare to prepare meals, portions food on plates or for take out etc.

What separates a 6322 application and a 6711 if the duties are mixed, especially since line cook is listed under 6322 or do these kind of franchise job usually fall under 6711.

Thank you in advance.

1. It does'nt matter your work experience is foreign or local, you must select the closest NOC and provide a reference letter.
2. I cant help with you with the specific details of NOC as I am from a different profession but can tell you that select the one which is closest to your friend's experience. It may not be a 100% match. In FSWO they look for close match not 100%. In PNP they look for 100% match.
