It doesn't matter. If you have a good solid application, your file will be finished in way less time.

Singapore Visa office for example, went from 8 months processing to almost 30 months in 5 years, yet my wife got her visa in under 6 months.

These times are not averages. They are worst-case scenarios. Basically the worst, most red-flag cases with interviews take this long, so if you complain they can just quote the times. It might be that a lot of applicants from somewhere else are now sent to Accra as well.

So, something like 80% of people will get processed faster.

I've noticed that you're frequently reminding people of how actual processing times can be way less than what they quote, and I want to thank you for that. People need to know this and have their hopes restored.

You don't really need to care about it.
My VO shows 5 months and issued my visa in 20 days.
London shows 26 months and takes 8-10.
The same goes to every VO.
Just try to relax.

It would be nice if CIC told the truth about the processing times, they could still cover their butts by saying "it could take up to X months" or something of that nature. If you don't do your research online how are you supposed to know that these times are not necessarily accurate for most people? It just makes the whole thing more terrifying. I spent years thinking we'd never get our PR and putting it off as some impossible hurdle that we could never manage. In part because of these processing times.
When I first found this forum I was in disbelief when one of the users said we could have my spouses PR by summer.

wow! yours happened this fast.......................OMG! interesting indeed. yes you are right, the anxiety they make us go through is crazy. People have to plan their lives around CIC's published information such as processing times.

since CIC changed the processing time frame to 12 months .... how long did anyone have to wait from start of the process until they recieved their PR outland?
I am looking to see exactly how long the wait time is. the medical has not been completed and require now a letter from cic
