Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has a prior experience with the proof of fund for express entry (FSW) in the form of a gift letter.

In other words, if a relative of mine transferred me the money I need as a proof of fund to my bank account and it has been there for 3 months at the time when I apply, can this relative write an email stating that he gave me this money as a gift and he doesn't want it back and I can use it as I want? Does CIC accept something like that? If yes, is there a template for this letter my relative can follow?

Your help is highly appreciated :)

Yes, this is the standard process for when you get a large amount deposited in a short while. You'll need a gift deed that is duly signed, witnessed, and notarized.

I haven't done this myself, but many people have, so someone should be able to give you a format. It's pretty simple.

Just to clarify - an email won't work. You'll need a gift deed (which is a legal document)
