Dear Friends,

I am currently in Canada, ITA received, submitting my Application this week. However My employer also asked me to go back to my home country.

My question is : I want to stay back in Canada till I get my PR and continue to stay here.

What are the options I & my spouse have ? I am on closed WP and She is spouse Open WP. What will happen if I resign my Job and stay back as I have Visitor Visa and My wife doesn't have.

THe dream of being in this land makes me take all the risk, Because I don't want to go back to my country at this point.

Thanks in Advance

Your employer cannot make you leave. If your ITA was on the grounds of FSW without any employer intervention, check CIC directly. You can care less about him unless you actually wanted to hold on that job.

I would suggest applying for Bridge Open Work Permit after you submit your application but there are definite risks that come with BOWP.. read them carefully and then go for it.

I was also on the same boat last year. My employer moved me to USA from Canada while my EE was in place. But i didn't have an ITA that time. Now i wish i had BOWP so i wouldn't need to move back and forth.
If you are applying under CEC then make sure you have completed Canadian employment for the duration you have claimed points for in your CRS. Then I would stay in Canada by filing BOWP after submitting PR application.
