Hello,

I recently became a PR in Canada. I'm looking to move over my health professional student loans (about $150K american) to Canada.

Does anyone have advice on this? I've been to the major banks and it seems like right around prime. Are credit unions worth checking out?

Also, any strategies or pitfalls to moving those loans here?

Thanks!

I would leave them there. Any particular reason you want to move them?

How do you move loans from one country to another?

Interest rate is lower in Canada, and I'm tired of exchanging money every few months.

You need to get a loan in Canada to cover the amount in the US.
