Hi,

Just a quick question I have the following.

English results
Degree verification from WES
One years skilled experience back in the UK
About 6 months in total skilled work experience in canada - can get it to a year if I do implied status as my visa ends in November.
A job offer from my employer for a year after my visa expires but NO LMIA.

Can i still apply for this program without the LMIA supporting the job offer. A guy who does voluntary talks on the issue seems to say I can still apply. As i still have 413 points without points for the job offer because of not having an lmia. But Can i still apply with the job offer without LMIA???In this program or do i need to wait for a years worth if skilled work experience before I can even apply???

You don't need a valid job offer to apply under the FSW program.

As long as you meet the eligibility requirements of the program you'll qualify: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Thanks , but when i do the come to canada questionnaire if i do not select valid job offer it says I do no appear eligible...

• in the same type of job as your primary NOC - The job im doing now is a different NOC to what I did back home....

Then the issue is that you do not meet the eligibility criteria of 67 out of 100 points.

Check the second link and calculate your score manually, if it is less than 67 then you don't qualify.

I am at 66 points which is extremely frustrating being 1 point away...

Would it be worth then just waiting for myself to get a years worth of work??? I mean i have no idea how I can get that extra point. Its annoying i dont get points for having been settled in Canada for 3 years
