Hi everyone,

I am applying for express entry.
I am counting on a CLB 9 to improve my points; however, my last attempt at IELTS deemed ineffective, my writing is 0.5 band below clb 9.
Anyhow, I was wondering if it is possible to update the language score while in the pool. With my current points (415) I have a slight chance to get out of the pool, but it is not promising.
If it is possible to improve points by updating the language score while in the pool, I would go ahead and submit my application now.
So, is it feasible to do so?

I would appreciate your help.
Best regards

Yes if you update language scores while in the pool your score will be reassessed in 24 hours.

Thanks for your prompt response picklee. Does this also apply on all the factors, e.g. the age factor? Meaning that while in the pool, when I reach 30, I will lose 5 points automatically?

That should be the case but I've seen people having to re-create their profiles so their true score based on their age is taken into account.

Thanks for you response DelPiero07. Surprisingly, I did not find any info in this regard on cic. There is a section describing how to update the profile, but it describes the technicality and not the rules that apply. Have you seen any official documents on the matter?
