Question with Job Reference Letter and NOC

Hi Guys. Great to join all of you here.
I have a question, which has been confusing me for a while. Maybe someone could share their experience or explain it for me.
My job reference letter was issued several years ago (since I left for PhD study). While the actual working content meets the main duties under NOC job category, the duties listed on my reference letter (as it was issued long before these days) do not fully match the bullet points appearing under the NOC job description.
My med check has passed today. However, would my application (eligibility check) highly possible to be rejected in this case?

It is not supposed to match word by word with your NOC description. It should be close to you NOC. If you are not PNP candidate, you are fine. In case of PNPs CIC is more strict.

I'm in FSW stream.
The wording in the letter is worrying me. Since it refereed to specific tasks focused on a business segment, the reviewers need substantial professional knowledge to relate the description to the duties in NOC.
Anyway, there is not much I can do except pray and wait.

You can alternatively get either ur ex supervisor or any excolleauges who may still be with the firm to give you a reference letter confirming all details...get it notarized and collect that persons company ID card copy &a business card ...
this will help in case they raise a case specifically enquiry or you urself can do it now as well with a letter of explanation

good point, i will get prepared.
However, it has been a long time, and the supervisor has moved to other institution. But I will try to contact someone who can verify this. Thanks!

give it a try if you know someone working there....make it a point that they were there while you worked ...
otherwise I'm sure ifn
