Hi guys, how are all doing with your applications

I want to know if I get pregnant after submitting application (post ITA) do I have to inform CIC? and what happens if I receive PR during pregnancy can I land?

I need help regarding that pleaseeeeeeee

Here is how i understand this situation

you dont have to inform CIC if you get pregnant, but you have to inform them when your baby is delivered. so if you get a baby before you land , you will have to apply for your baby separately.

Also bear in mind that post ITA you would need to get a medical done, and X-ray is part of the medical exam and you cant get an X-ray done when you are pregnant, (its not safe for the baby, that what doctors say). so if you cant get medical done after ITA your PR application will be delayed in any case.

No ! CIC is not interested in knowing of something which has not happened yet !! They are interested in everything that was in past or has a current status. If you receive PR you can 100 % land and your child will be born Canadian !

GooD LUCK

Hi guys,
We completed and submitted our application on May 7th. Then, on May 15th, we learned that my wife is pregnant. She has a January 22nd due date. If our application gets approved, our last day of landing will be Feb 18 on which our medical report will expire. My questions are:

1. When should I inform CIC regarding my wife's preganacy? If so, how do we contact them?
2. Can we get extension to land?

I'd very much appreciate if anyone who are/were in the same situation can give some information about the process.
Thank you

Hi

1. You don't need to inform them of the pregnancy. You need to inform them when the child is born.

2. No.

You can do the medical exam without having X-rays. Just tell the doctor you are pregnant and do not want to do the X-rays. No problem for your application.

Thank you for your response. How do we contact and inform CIC about the newborn baby? Also, do we need to provide a medical report for the baby as well?

You can send a CSE to the VO to inform them when the baby is born. Yes, the baby will need to have a medical done.
