Applications that exceeds processing time

Can you advise the reason of the delay on the process? I applied for canada visitors visa last May 11, with my sister on a different application number. Both of us have not received any updates. Until now, status is in progress. Please tell me what is going on? Is it normal?

Yes - it's perfectly normal. The posted processing times are just estimates. It's quite possible for processing to take several months. There's really nothing you can do but wait.

we are alsn in same boat, may 11 me and my applied and our travelling date is coming june 30 but still we not hear anything from canada office (abu dhabi) really worried

I see, kind of worried because our scheduled flight is on July 8, And yet i dont know either the status of my application.
