ita submitted without USA fbi police certificate

Hello -
I am applying for PR under express entry program. I have a family of 3 members (including myself) but my spouse and child are not accompanying.
As soon as I received the ITA I started preparing for all the documents which are required for submission.
The most time-consuming document to get hold off was the police certificate for the USA from fbi., but, I was able to get it in time before the 90 day deadline of profile submission.
(we are not US citizens and do not hold green cards but are living in US under work Visa)
Problem: I did not realize that even though my spouse is not accompanying me, I need to provide PCC for her stay in the USA as well.
I realized this mistake just 3 weeks before the deadline for application submission.
My wife has submitted the application to the FBI to get the police certificate, but because the deadline for submitting the application was so close, that I ended up submitting the application without her PCC.
I did provide enough proof though (scanned copy of application form submitted to FBI, receipts etc.) along with my express entry application.

I am concerned that the application might be rejected right away because of this., and if this does get rejected, the deadline for application submission will be over (which is in next 3 days), so I will not be able to re-submit the application after my wife's PCC arrives..(which will be in next 1-2 months).

Has anyone experienced a similar issue before?
Is rejection likely or do you think there is something else which cic will do in this case?

There are few posts I found in the forum where people have mentioned about a delay in PCC, but no-one has responded with what hapenned with their cases eventually.

If you submitted the proof of application for PCC, then its fine, CIC will not reject the application, instead put your application on hold until you submit the PCC for your spouse via case specific enquiry. Don't worry too much, it has happened to many applicants, as long as you gave a explanation, then you are fine.

BTW...what happened with your case please? This will help others.
Hi ybx1250 -
I am still waiting on the pcc from the fbi to come through for my spouse and not too much activity on the express profile either...
Coincedentally- Today - I did get a status update on my express profile...(thats the first update I got after I submitted the profile two months back), but I am having hard time finding what have they updated :)
there was no specific message etc on the profile that I could see which can throw some light on what have they updated...
All I got an email tht the profile is updated.
Different topic of discussion I guess..

Another question in my mind:
Once we do get the PCC for my spouse from FBI, How am I going to update the profile with this info?
Do I need to send a separate email from my registered email id to some one in CIC?.... (if yes, then to whom?)
or
is there a way to update the submitted profile..?

Thoughts?

Update:
K, so last week, I got a status update on the CIC profile where they mentioned that I am missing my spouse's US pcc.
Coincedentally - around the same day I also recieved the pcc for my wife from fbi.
So, in order to upload it, I scanned it into a pdf file.
Then - I logged into my cic account, and on the 'Documents submitted by the client' page I saw a new row (which said 'replacement document' or something along the lines of 'replacement') under the list of documents under my name.
In that row there was an upload button.
On clicking that button, it took me to a series of two pages where on first page it asked me about 'date of issue', date of expiry, document number, conuntry which issued it, and on the next page it gave an option to upoad the actual file.
Once this was uploaded, it took me back to 'Documents submitted by the client' page and from that page I had to click continue and then submit the application again after signing electronically...(this step was confusing, and is required even after you upload the document).

The only thing which was odd is that even though the document was required for my wife, the option to upload it appeared under my name and on top of it - it was named as 'replacement document'.. as if it will replace the pcc document for myself which I uploaded during the initial application submission.
May be I am overthinking.. but someobdy has any thoughts/experience on this?
If I still have a concern, is there a way to make sure that they got what they needed?..
I know they can always get back to me for asking more items if they need, but in this case they have already asked and I have provided it.
not sure if they will keep on asking...
Overthinking again I guess :p
