Hi all

I just submitted my express entry application today. Now starting the waiting game with many of you.

I was wondering though whether the fact that CIC are now churning out ITAs in such high numbers (blessing for me any thousands of others) whether the processing times with drastically slow down?

I am a UK citizen applying from England. Any thoughts?

Thanks

It won't be affected drastically but its better to get in the queue sooner so that you can get out of it soon as well.

Medical clearing seems to be taking time. 3 months back, people used to clear medicals in 40 days. Now its 62+ days to clear medicals. However, they are still issuing PPR within the standard 6 months for most cases. However, the sooner you get in.. the better!

The average time for PPR was around 4 months for most applicants. So CIC anyways had 2 months buffer to start with from their promised 6 month SLA.

Thanks all. Keeping fingers crossed for a result in 2017 then. The AOR came almost immediately by e mail. I thought it would take a few days so that was great.

AOR is generated automatically once the system receives all the documents through your eApr. It doesn't validate any of the documents.

Yes, I didn't assume my application had been processed within a few minutes! :D Some got their days later - maybe some banks slow to process payment. Either way, I was happy.

Processing times are not likely to increase substantially. This would have been true with the paper-based applications, but the reality is that IRCC can more efficiently process eAPR. If you look at ITAs from 2015, they were quite low because IRCC was still processing a backlog of paper applications at that time. Also, the number of people applying for PR is probably about the same maybe marginally higher, and IRCC is still targeting their annual quotas.

Majority of the applicants are getting the PR in 6 months.
