Dear All,

I'm new to the forum and i need your opinion pls, I saw many study permit rejections because of the following reason:

proposed studies are not reasonable in light of qualifications/educational background

I'm 31 and have bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from my university in Egypt, however studied different career in parallal which is the IT and specialized in Voice and call center applications design/presales, worked in this new field for 3 years in Egypt then 4 years in a multinational company in Dubai as Technial Sales and project Manager, didn't had full satisfaction of loving what I'm doing.

Being a petrolhead and love cars and anything related to the Automotive industry, I decided to change my career to the Automotive industry through entrepreneurship and private business, to do so successfully I applied to Automotive business management diploma at Georgian College and got the final acceptance and my IELTS score is 6.5 and maintained 6.0 minimum score in the 4 IELTS sections.

Another note I have a strong ties to my home country, solid financial position and multiple properties. Also i paid the fees of first semester, and my wife & daughter won't be traveling with me as she is a doctor and in a middle of masters study at her university in Egypt..

Also I have a valid USA visa till 2021 and have no history of visa rejections to any country I ever visited like USA, UK, Turkey and 10 other countries. Just participated in USA green card application and didn't had the any selections.

I consulted with many travel agents and all said my profile is strong, however my weak point that might lead to visa rejection that visa officer might not be satisfied with the relevance of the study against my work experience and education history..

Another note i left my job in Dubai and moved back to Egypt, so that preparing my documents, settling my family needs and will be apply from Egypt office.

Sorry for the long introduction, but I need an answer, if the proposed study is going to be considered different from my background/experience and will kead to visa rejection or not ??

Also what's the GIC that need to be paid ??

You have a decent profile, a strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) can help you getting visa.

There is a chance that your proposed study will be considered irrelevant. You need to write strong SOP to overcome that.

Guaranteed investment certificate is a way to deposit money in a Canadian bank account in your name through a partner bank in your home country. Google it or search cic.gc.ca for more information.
