hi, i have reeceieved ITA, collecting documents to submit the eAPR. I am getting confused by different replies from different members on different threads for the digital photos too be uploaded. One person sent me this link -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

but this link says "bear the name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio..." , I thought I have to upload digital photos and not send any paper photo for eAPR, then how can i write those things on digital photo? Is this the correct link?

On the other hand, some one sent me this link below specs saying this is the specs -

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp

but here, I see they are saying "Photographs must be printed on quality photographic paper.", so I guess this is not the right specs? because per my understanding only digital photos are needed for eAPR (or am i mistaken?).

And last but not least, somebody copy pasted these specs saying thsi is the specs for eAPR digital photos -
"Frame size
  • The final frame size of the photo must be at least 35mm x 45mm.
  • The photographs must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders, with the face in the middle of the photograph.
  • The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm.
  • Digital dimensions are often expressed in pixels or DPI (dots per inch). The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540.
Quality/resolution
If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch.

File format
  1. The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
  2. The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
  3. The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the common output for most digital cameras."
This look like it is meant for digital photos but I don't know if this is the correct specs and if so what is the source?

I appreciate so many kind friends here trying to help me and in no way I want to offend anybody who replied to me, thank you to all, just want to be sure that I am doing the thing right. Can anybody please advise of the correct eAPR photo specs? thanks a lot.

Thanks . So, this requirement does not apply here since it will be digital photo correct - ""bear the name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio..." ?

Where does it state that dpi should be 600?
