Mine took 5 business days. If your passport doesn't need stamping, expect it to be mailed back on the next day after approval, plus transit time.

Below is my timeline (PNP INLAND):

PPR: 25 May
Passport sent: June 03
Passport Received by Ottawa: June 7th.

The tracker says it delivered but I didn’t opt for signature request because I thought it was a PO BOX address.
Should I be concerned for not choosing the signature upon delivery option?

Also, usually how long does CIC take to return the passport?

I used UPS to send the passports. I chose a big bubble mailer (12 x 14 I think?). I used a slightly smaller one (8 x 11 maybe?) as the pre-paid envelope. It cost me ~$20 to send it to Canada, and ~$10 for the pre-paid return envelope.

I sent it on Friday 05/26 afternoon, it was received on Wednesday, 05/31. I have been tracking my return mailer and there has not been any activity so far. Hope this helps.

I didn't have the signature request too and our passports were delivered today. Should be okay.

It seems like the average processing time to return is one week.

Sure. My stream is CEC and I have 2 dependents (spouse + child). What about you?

Hope processing will be smooth and quick but we've waited months (even years) so I guess a few days won't be so bad

Yeah, We are almost there. My stream is PNP inland, no dependents.
I hope there are no chances of rejection but still insecure as you never know

I read others saying they had seen something about a counterfoil once approved? I've not seen anything like that...

The state of my Permanent Residency application has changed today to 'Approved'. Does it mean that they processed the passport scans and will send back COPR shortly?
