What rain man? don't know why people use this term. There are many waiting for PPR for over 6 months here

One hour before I got PPR, I ordered my third GCMS notes. Probably this time the notes will show the complete process of my application. I will also check if the Group # has changed.

Have you tried calling them after 180th day? I am sure you would've, what did they say?
Its is always better to renew his passport in any of the consulates, they issue the passport within a day. However, he has to pay little extra bucks
Othewise, he can write a letter to visa officer and send the current passport. Ideally, this should work.
He tried but apparently, his consulate denied its request because he is on a visitor visa. Now not sure whether CIC will accept his passport or not, I mean he is ok if they gave him the latest day of the landing of passport expiry.
Not sure if the 6-month rule applied to the inland applicant or it just for Outland people.
